OPA-PAPPOU (2024)

Opa-Pappou is a tender trilingual (English / German / Greek) coming-of-age drama about a young girl navigating guilt, superstition and loss after a family tragedy.

Drawing on my own German-Greek heritage, I wrote and directed the film as a story about the ways culture, family and grief can shape a child's understanding of events beyond her control.

Opa-Pappou has screened at festivals internationally and received multiple awards and nominations, including the Jury Award for Best Short Screenplay at the London Women Film Festival, an Award of Excellence at Global Shorts, and a jury nomination at the Canadian International Children’s Film Festival in Toronto.

In 2026, the film secured international distribution and is now available worldwide on selected streaming platforms.
