HACKFLEISCH [HACKED MEAT]

Shot on 16mm entirely from short ends left over from the television series Fire, Hackfleisch grew out of my love of Alfred Hitchcock and my desire to pay homage to Psycho.

The film follows Norman as he prepares dinner for his mother. Her favourite meat is mince.

I wrote, produced and directed the film, which was sold to Canal+ France and the Benelux countries after being picked up at the Toronto film market for special programming celebrating the 100th anniversary of Alfred Hitchcock's birth.

Hackfleisch also screened at the Brisbane Schlock Film Festival in 1997 and at video festivals in Australia and Germany.
