Waves (2022) is a sweet and sardonic two-minute short about a pair of old friends, Sam and Ethel, who reconnect over a drinking game at their local beach.

Instigated for the ADG CreditMaker initiative, WAVES had its World Premiere at Flickerfest in 2023. It has since won mulitiple awards, including Best Director, Best Super Short, and Best Acting Duo in a Super Short at the Cannes World Film Festival.

The project had a two week pre-production lead time and was shot in less than three hours at Tamarama Beach in Sydney, Australia, after a torrential storm cleared the beach of locals making the most of the public holiday of Queen Elizabeth's funeral.
